Narita Airport (NRT) – Train

Narita Airport (NRT) is located 60 km away from Tokyo city centre. Going by train is a practical transport way as well to get there. Narita Airport counts with 2 railway stations: Narita Airport Terminal Station (at Terminal 1) and Airport Terminal 2 Station (at Terminal 2). It is very important you check with which airline you are travelling to see which station you need to use. There are several rail, monorail and metro transfer options at Narita Airport:

Skyliner

This electric train is indicated with the blue colour. It works from both Terminal stations. It stops by Nippori and Keisei Ueno. The total ride takes around 50 minutes including transfers.

Narita Express

This train line works from both Terminal stations and is indicated with the red colour. It stops by Narita, Chiba, Tokyo, Shinagawa, Yokohama, Musashi-Kosugi, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Takao, Ikebukuro and Omiya. The total ride takes around 50 minutes.

Toei Asakusa Line

This is a metro line which doesn’t work from Narita Airport, it has the pink colour. You can transfer to it easily if you take a bus or a train at NRT Airport. It works from Aotoe to Oshiage, Asakusa, Asakusabashi, Shinbashi, Sengaku-ji, Gotanda and Nishimagome.

Access Express

This electric train line is indicated with the yellow colour. It works from both Terminal stations, stopping by Shinkamagaya, Higashi-Matsudo, Keisei, Aotoe, Nippori and Keisei Ueno.

JR lines

This train line is indicated with the green colour. It starts from both Narita Airport’s Stations. It has 2 routes: to Ofuna or to Takao. It stops by Narita, Chiba, Funabashi Asakusabashi, Akihabara, Ueno, Nippori, Omiya, Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Gotanda, Shinagawa, Yokohama, Hamamatsu-cho, Shinbashi and Tokyo.

Keihin Kyuko Line

This train line is indicated with the purple colour and it doesn’t work from Narita Airport. It connects Sengaku-ji with Shinagawa and Haneda Airport.

Keisei Main line

This electric train is indicated with the blue colour. It works from both Narita Airport’s Stations. It stops by Keisei Narita, Keisei Funabashi, Oshiage, Aotoe, Nippori and Keisei Ueno.

Tokyo monorail

It is indicated with the gray colour. It doesn’t work from or to Narita Airport. It connects Hamamatsu-cho with Tokyo Haneda Airport.

Tsukuba Express

This train line is indicated with the black colour. It doesn’t work from Narita Airport. It connects Tsukuba with Minami-Nagarayema, Kitasenju and Akihabara.
